Want To Start Making Molds Questions..

Featured Replies

I would like to start making my own molds, crankbaits, worms ect. Whats the best way to do so. Its cold here in  Ky and that's what's going to keep me busy through the winter.. Anything advice will help.

When you are referring to making molds , are you looking to make machined aluminum molds that will last, or something out of bondo or Durham's wood putty?

See the above post.

I suggest trying to pour some baits in Lure Craft molds first before trying to make them.

Crankbaits made from wood are very tough for a beginner unless you are good at wood carving. Even if you are good at carving a lot goes into making a crankbait like ballasting, lip angle, sealing the bait, etc. If you are dead stuck on a wooden lure try making a topwater.
