Clear Coat For Jig Heads

Yeah I just ordered both of them.

A urethane like Perma Gloss will dry water clear and harder than any epoxy. It is hot on some paints so test it but over cured powder paint.

How easy is it to get an even, clean finish with the perma gloss? Does it just take some practice?

This may come as a surprise but Sally Hansens Hard as Nails is awesome if your just doing a dozen or two jigs at a time.  I put two light coats on my jigs.  And it holds up very very well.  Have been doing this for years and it just flat holds up well.  Have very little paint chip and the eyes I put on my heads stay on well.

Just sayin.

Sally Hansens Hard as Nails works great and it is what I use to put eyes on jigs. Like others have mentioned powder paint really hold up well so I see no need for a clear coat. The only time I clear over a regular jig is if I want to add some flake.

Cadman has probably made more jigs than anyone on this board and is an expert in powder painting.
