Featured Replies

Not sure if this is the right section to post in but is anyone else's local cabelas doing a huge sale on select fishing items? Mine included

Xcalibur xr50 real craw series-$0.88

Xcalibur xr50 real gill series-$3.88

Xcalibur xcs series square bills-$1.88 to $2.03

Sebile stick shadd hollow- $1.99

Senile AT worm-$1.99

Bandit square bills- $3.88

Bomber deep divers 17-19 feet- around $3 or $4

Just wondering if anyone else experienced these sales or if it was just local, happy new year and tight lines everyone.

I picked up 6 of the Xcalibur Erratic shad jerkbaits for $.97 apiece awhile back. They had a bunch of Sebile hardbaits for $5 apiece too.

I grabbed some more Real Craw square bills for $2.88 and I got a dozen Xcalibur one knockers for $1.99 each and some Sebile Cransters SR baits for $4.79 each.

They're building a new Cabela's about 20 miles down the road from me. Can't wait!

In, Nobelsville, correct? I can't wait either! They were supposed to build one in Greenwood a while back, but the Economy tanked and the plans fizzled out.

That's the one! Not a full sized store, but it has to tons better than the "Dick's Clothing Store" next door. And the nearest BPS is 100 miles away.

God, I hate Dick's Sporting Goods  :badlanguage: !! I refuse to shop there anymore.. The selection is terrible and they don't have anyone in there that knows a thing about the outdoors. I really hate that they bought out Galyan's, I really enjoyed the Galyan's store in Plainfield, the had decent selection and actually knew a thing or two.. Gander Mt is a little lackluster too, they cut down their fishing selection to make more room for their "Gun Supercenter" which is quite overpriced. These days I shop online, in local shops or I take a daytrip every once in a while to the BPS Clarksville. It's a HUGE store! Hopefully the Cabela's brings some stuff that we have been lacking

i find the cabbala's near me to be pretty bad overall.  more gear for salt than for fresh and i'm a good 4 hours from the beach.

DSG just depends on the store.  some of them are great, some are only running clothes.  the one closest to me has an awesome selection and the dept manager actually knows what he's doing.

i use them all to window shop and then typically pull the trigger online somewhere.

Next time you drive to Clarksville, you might drive another 10 miles into Kentucky. There is a Cabelas in Louisville, I hear Gander is planning stores as well...

Yup, I cleaned house on the 88 cent XCalibur XR50 real craw lipless cranks in November. I just couldn't pass up a deal like that and got a dozen of them.

They had the Bandit 200 Squarebills at $1.98 internet only sale so I purchased 10 of every color that was avail.. I should be set for Squarebills for a while. Brian.

I bought some on that deal too. They are good baits. The Chartreuse Black Back lure is a killer in dirty water, because they can see it, it's loud, and it will knock into cover, making it even louder and easy for shallow dark water fish to locate.

I haven't heard about the Gander, but if you ever make it to Cabelas, you might want to drive four miles more to the new Academy that opened around Thanksgiving.

I read on here of people having to travel such and such distances. I guess I'm lucky with a Cabelas and a DSG being a mile away, Academy four miles away, and BPS about 20 mins.
