Which is better for a 16" welded MV tin like a Tracker Grizzly, Lowes Roughneck for examples. Not asking who makes a better boat, just want to know your guys opinion what is better on those type of tins.

SC gives you better control IMO. Tillers can get squirrely in choppy water. The SC takes up more space in an already small boat but it's worth to me.

My preference would be a SC or CC on the water I fish. I think if you are on a busy waterway a SC or CC is a safer way to get around. If there's not a lot of boat traffic,  a tiller will give you more usable deck

I'd go with the SC even in a small boat. More comfortable to drive for sure. 

I have a 16' long 52" bottom mod-v tunnel hull with a 40 hp Tohatsu 4 stroke tiller.

The tiller will give you more floor space for tackle & ice chest.

Less overall weight

Easy to drive!

I can let go of the tiller & it'll track straight

Not just for wakes but for being able to see what's going on. If you move your weight forward with a console, the boat is going to ride more level, especially with a smaller motor. I'm assuming you're looking at around a 40hp. If your bow is pointed upward, you're going to loose some line of sight. If you did get a tiller, I would get power trim if it's an option. It will be easier to get on plane. You would be able to drop the bow down to increase performance and lower fuel consumption. My home water is the busiest waterway per acre in the United States. I wouldn't be caught out there on a weekend after 11:00am without a wheel boat. 

I had a SC 16' Roughneck for several years, it was a very nice setup for a small boat. Driving a tiller for very long just gets very uncomfortable for me.
