i'm gonna try fluorocarbon line this year,ive used P Line before,what brand to you like the best ?I'll be using it on a Johnny Morris baitcast reel and a 7 ft med rod and throwing a spinnerbait. God Bless and as always Thanks

Why do you feel you need fluoro with a spinnerbait? There are cheaper lines that will work just as well.

I can sum up what will be said. Don't go cheap with fluoro or you will regret it. A lot of guys love the seaguar tatsu. I've fever fished it as I use braid mostly. Seaguar invisix is probably one of best handling lines on the market. Sunline makes a good flouro. I was pleased with the trilene 100% and didn't seem to find any major flaws to it. Most spools by the bigger brands in the 20+ price range are pretty good lines. Others will chime in im sure.

I am a fan of any Seaguar line.  I went through trying all the cheap fluoro and it's all the same..cheap.  Red Label might be a good starting point into the world of fluoro.

I don't think it really has any benefits for spinnerbaits, since sensitivity isn't really paramount. That said, 12lb Invizx, Tatsu, or Sniper, would all perform well for throwing a spinnerbait. I've also grown pretty fond of 10lb and 12lb Trilene XL fluorocarbon on my baitcasters. I don't like the 100%, but the XL is pretty nice.

X3. You can use just about any line with spinnerbaits, it doesn't really matter. I use 10 lb big game, works fine, haven't had any problems. Can't beat it for 1500 yds of 10 lb for $9!

I like sunline ... But I only use Fluro for cold water fishing and a big rod with it and one with braid ... And that's only been since 2015 ... Mans I haven't caught a jig fish in the Fluro yet but I have caught plenty on it on spinning rods.. Id always use braid for spinner bait

I've fished Fluorocarbon exclusively since 2007, and I will second what was posted above, get the good stuff or lose fish.  Second and most importantly fluorocarbon knots only average about 80-85% of line strength. So when in doubt line up, and don't set hooks to hard...less stretch also means less shock absorption. And to make matters worse once stretched to a point fluoro doesn't bounce back like mono, it deforms and weakens the line.

 

Read up on the knots, as many fluorocarbon lines work well with different knots, I don't know the reason for this, but Tackle tour did a huge fluorocarbon 2 part showdown and you can find a lot of information there.

 

As far as fluorocarbon goes, I only fish Sunline FC Sniper and Shooter. As it's expensive I always use backing and then just top the last 60 yards or so with fluorocarbon. Good luck. And I hope that helps!

well I've always used sufix and i loved it but i was at the store and they had stern on sale so i grabbed a couple boxes and it was horrible, worst line I've ever used so id figure id save some time and just ask lol

If cost is not a consideration Tatsu. Other highly recommended top tier fluorocarbons are Sniper, Toray and Shooter.

 

For great "affordable" lines, Seaguar InvizX for spinning tackle, AbrazX for baitcasters.

Grand Slam is very good. The fluo coated and the 100% fluo line. If it's good for bill dance, then it' s good for me.

Try 3 brands 3 price ranges and you'll find the sweet spot. Try my 3 tiers starting with Seaguar Red Label -$10, Seaguar InvisX - $18-$20, and my favorite Sunline FC Sniper - $20-25.

I've tried 90% of EM and that is what I feel comfortable and confident with. Pick up a $7 spool of Pline copolymer that might be what your comfortable with

The only reason is spend $25 on sniper is because it's a limper line Carrys very little memory and in turn last longer and I have confidence in it...that's the key

Looks like I am with the majority here. I use both Seaguar (red label & abrazx) and Sunline Sniper. The sunline is smoother and handles slightly better especially in the larger sizes, but for the price the Seaguar red label is hard to beat and is a great line. I used to use BPS XPS and I now feel that it is just mediocre in comparison to these.
