I was going in more to just buy lures and baits. Instead I nabbed 2 Carbonlites, 1 7.1.1 PQ, 2 Storm Arashi Square 3 and two reel grips.  The Carbonlites were the old ones on clearance.

Nada....  I stayed home.  I heard it was a mad house.  Besides, I think I got what I needed at Christmas, Dick's Clearance Sale, and Tackle Warehouse's last sale for the rest of the year and then some.

$50 worth of Buckeye jig heads.

It was a mad house couldn't find a place to park in the parking lot!

Might go after class tomorrow. The hunger for a finesse cranking rod is real.

Thinking about going to the East Peoria, Illinois BPS tomorrow. Anyone been to that one yet by chance? I got some gift cards to burn, and now is probably the best time to do it. I Don't need much, but when has that ever stopped anyone? Curious to see what they have for clearance Carbonlites, and the PQ deal is very enticing, especially since they come well recommended here. Also on the look out for a 2-3 piece travel rod, but need to decided what length/strength/action I want first. The one thing I do really need is a spinning rod, thinking a medium light, to go with the Daiwa Lexa I just got at DSG on clearance.

It's not good for my health seeing what everyone else has got so far, I want I want I want, some great pickups. As MichiganBass80 pointed out, still 2+ months until this spending is of any use, so sad!

I got nothing wife says if I go to BPS she's leaving. Sure  will miss her.

Good for you. You don't need negative people like that in your life

I bought a bunch of crankbaits, some Plano boxes, plastics and terminal tackle. What was with Abrazx being "on sale" for $40 for a 200 yard spool? its $20 all day at TW.

picked up a pro qualifier tonight.  question for everyone. Is this spool release button always going to be still or do they loosed up.  Mine is really hard to release compared to my lews

Went to the East Peoria store yesterday.  All the big sale items were sold out.  They were expecting new shipments "in a couple days."  They were out of the Pro Qualifiers.  I paid for four left handed Pro Qualifiers (2 7.1 ratio and 2 6.4) and they agreed to send them to me when the next shipment comes in.  Disappointed in the lack of inventory, but impressed with their customer relations and willingness to ship at sale price.

I've had really good luck with the customer service at the East peoria store. I had bought the 100 mph bibs because they were on sale in my size only. Found out the jacket was on sale in my size as well after I had got home. I'm about an hour and a half away from the store so I contacted them and was put in touch with the store manager, had the jacket shipped that day and at my house the next. Great customer service there.
