The Charlie Brewer classic spider head, which I believe has a 3/0 light wire hook. Other companies sell a similar product with heavier weights, beefier and larger hooks. The slider heads have caught numerous bass for me up to the 20" range and some nice pike too. Only downside don't always stick the tough mouthed pike, but that may actually a good thing.

Normally I use Megastrike to lube up the jighead before inserting it into the tube, but if I did that, then everyone would've said it was a shameless sponsor plug.  So I did it that way, and everyone is giving me a hard time for putting it in my mouth.

 

Oh well.  6 of one, 1/2 dozen of another. 

I've been fishing them unweighted or very, very, lightly weighted since they 1st stormed onto the scene.  Never liked the way they moved when fished with any amount of weight and you won't believe the things an unweighted tube does under the water.  It's an easily skipped bait that will break into and out of death spirals, rise to the surface mimicking a feeding bluegill when pulled.and then glide with random occurrences of spirals/turns.  My favorite do nothing bait by miles. 

 

I like the salt and sand impregnated pitching tube to get some weight to the bait without having to add a sinker. 

I use Zoom and BPS tubes.  I usually fish them t-rigged, and fish them in the weeds. 

Zoom super tubes I think they are called. Whatever the really thick ones are. I rig them with a flippin hook and a tungsten weight. Another thing is once the head splits open and the weight starts hitting the hook it kind of makes it like a rattle.

I was more so saying that out of caring for the cancerous causing abilities of lead. It's a dangerous element sir Pb #82 will get ya.

I have not fished with tubes ,so I bought a few from BPS.Going try them in the weeds.Ponds in Delaware are for the most part, full of weeds.

Has anyone tried the Big Bite Baits Craw Tube? I thought they looked pretty good so I picked up a few packs.

I love the isg tubes. The 2.75 inch is a finesse tube but is still fat which makes a nice profile and  so I can use homemade football heads inserted inside for less snagging in rock. Good colors and nice and soft but durable. I use them on drop shot too.
