So I have an idea. All of us up north are gonna be snowed in till July by the looks of it lol. So how about you southern folk complaining its 50 out link up with some of us and take us fishing down south. I'm getting in my truck and heading south my first Lon g weekend of my new shift at work and I'm driving till I find open water and I'm fishing.

Two local cooling lakes open March 1st and March 15th and my boat is in MN getting repainted

My local lake has 20"+ on it it normally doesn't freeze solid enough to ice fish really. This time two years ago I was fishing almost every day already. Every water body in my county is froze over even the rivers that normally don't freeze its depressing.

Then we can bring them up during the summer. So they then can enjoy a real summer. It will be a totally different experience for them. They will be able to fish with the sun up, and not sweating like a hog. We could also work out a foreign exchange student type thing. We stay at there house. During the winter months. When they come up during the summer. They would stay at our houses. Sorry Clayton and and Raider will have to bunk together. I like Raider, I just don't feel like being on cops. Plus if you and Raider bunk. You could make a reality tv show. With both of your guys extend family's stories.

Middle of March usually for me smallies are running in one of the rivers I grew up on. It's ablast in March I went 4 casts and caught a 4-12 smallmouth a northern pike rainbow and steelhead on 4 back to back casts to the same stump on a white boo yah spinner... Not happening this year I'm afraid

OK, I'm in. I extend an invitation to DeakNH & AJay to come out to the West Coast & join me on my home lake. The bass began moving up to spawn last week, so they better knock the snow off their laptops and book their flights ASAP. I will even let them bring their Tom Brady blowup dolls with them so they don't get homesick.

The Yankee is dressed in shorts, t-shirt, and his favorite flip-flops.  At the other end of the boat, the poor thin blooded Hillbilly wearing every stitch of clothing he owns!

As they say the further south you go the more northern it gets, don't come to South Florida.  With the population swell, especially in the winter, the lack of "rednecks" and there isn't any fish here anyway, go to California.

Yep. Latest I heard it's on schedule to be completed by April 1st. Then needs to be shipped back and rerigged, then I need to reinstall the trolling motor and graphs.

That sucks. Long history of paint problems.

That and a lot of passing the buck which irked me more than the paint issue itself. Ranger's aluminum line is having some problems as well.

I was not mentioning names.

Aluminum is one of the hardest metals to paint. I know when I did auto body for a few years. We had to to take extra time to prep the metal.
