Swimbait Eaters!

great job, i'm jealous.  Which direction was the rip rap facing?  Gonna be fishing a power plant lake in southern Illinois in a week or so depending on weather and was thinking they should be on south or west facing rip rap.

Is that a Ghost Ayu? Looking to pick that up if I can find a favorable price. Great pics & heck of a day!

Yes, that's the Ghost Ayu. I really wanted the Flash Carp but couldn't pass on this one for that price.

The riprap at this lake faces east and west over a majority of the lake. It was in the hot water plume so that was more the deciding factor than anything.

Ah-ha...I think I just figured out what the vague 2-3 week delivery time from Japan is....it better make it here!! That bait sold itself, when the morning bite died off for me, the only thing they wanted was your 175, and I got to watch you put on a clinic. Trying to decide on a new rod for throwing them, maybe something I can dual purpose with arig.

St. Croix Mojobass swimbait rod 1-4oz

Very nice work, Blue.  I don't normally buy a Kansas fishing license but I think your winter success has convinced me.  I need to go over there and fish those powerplant lakes in the winter.

Don't do it this year. Wolf Creek plant closes down this week and La Cygne hasn't got the new stack up and running consistently yet so the water is way colder than normal.
