oh man, where do i start?

1) watching the host of a fishing show hold a fish out of water for a loooong time while explaining the bait and technique used to catch it...it's almost as if he feels he has no credibility unless he's holding a fish in his hand to prove that he knows how to fish. geez, if you're gonna release the fish, then just release it and then explain the technique, etc.

2) when anglers make a big show out of releasing a fish...they kiss it, touch it all over saying what a beautiful fish it is, then hold it by it's belly as they lower it into the water, caress the fish as it swims out of his hands (all the while stripping the fish of the slime coat that protects it from infections, harmful bacteria and parasites).

^...THIS FOR SURE! You would think the pros would know better...... And how about this one. Holding a lunker bass parallel to the ground, by it's lower jaw.

The inner me dies a little when I go to a spot I like and the shore is littered with garbage. I want to cry.

That and when I see "white bucket all-stars" keeping Every. Single. Fish.

when people hold bass like this......handling-bass.jpg

What about when bass hold people like that?

What about when bass hold people like that?

Likely results in a broken jaw, rendering the person unable to eat and they subsequently starve to death...Oh,...The broken jaw would be yours for holding the person like that.

Only if the person is fat, though. Lol.

No seriously when people mishandle bass that irks me to no end.

What grinds my gears is people who have absolutely no clue about gear selection and are too stubborn to try and learn.

When people say "That lure is way too big for those bass"

When some guy is fishing post spawn in a private lake or pond when numerous lures can bring em in but he's saying how great his new lure is and all.

When pros get mad and snap their rods

When Im in my kayak fishing and people ask if I'm fishing

When I'm in my bass boat throwing bass lures and people ask me what I'm fishing for

When I go to Cabelas and the people working there don't know anything about bass fishing. They just look at me like I'm nuts for not fishing for walleye.

People who get all their stuff out of their truck and load their boat on the ramp.

How the winning lure at the classic becomes so popular. I mean it may work for you in your water at the right time but it may not.

No much bothers me but two things that do are. 1. Taking bass out of season and 2. Using a cast net to do so.

The worst noise in the world is after you dunk your centerpin and you hear that awful grinding noise... Still worth the picture though, dunk shots and shiny steelhead are awesome. But that noise makes me cry...

Especially when there is a huge line of people waiting to get their boats in.  They spend 30 mins trying to find the cooler in the vehicle when its clearly on the ground next to them.  Worst of all is people who clearly don't back the trailer down into the water far enough and they try to winch the boat onto a trailer with carpeted bunks. Than to top it all off they pull out and decide to pack all their gear back into the vehicle while the rest of us are still waiting to put the boat in or to get ours out.

That is the reason why there should be thread on BR called "BOAT LAUNCH IDIOTS" It would be the longest running and probably most posted thread here. But, where would you put it?

Boat flipping a fish and then complaining when the rod breaks!!!

All I can say is it's a good thing my boat didn't come with torpedo tubes.

Watching other people bass fishing when I'm working on scaffolding 30 feet in the air. Well, at least I'm outside working on a lake.

I'm not bothered on the manner a person uses their gear or how they treat it.  This young lady used to come down to the inlet with her boyfriend every weekend, used her spinning out fit reel on top.   She caught snook, jacks and tarpon with her method.  I might be upset if she was catching fish and I wasn't, maybe she had the better method, lol.

I have a long list of things that bother me, I have an easy way to avoid those................I don't fish with certain people.

Thats why fishing solo is the best......

Kids these days that promote big companies all over social media, that claim to be "sponsored" for a measley 25-30% retail. Its great to get discounts but theres too many people running around bank fishing with more sponsors than the average BFL guy. Pro-Staff = promotional staff, not professional staff.
