Imma keep it short and sweet. Two questions for you guys.

When the water is mostly calm, what topeater lures produces the best?

1: If its still cloudy ,favorite post rain lure is a buzzbait. Sometimes the buzzbait bite dies when it stops raining , then spinnerbaits likely  get the nod.

2 : This may sounds strange , but when  I'm in the back of a calm shallow cove and I can see bass feeding , a weightless or lightly weighted large grub buzzed on the surface has been more effective for me than anything . Those bass can be spooky and that subtle bzzzz just doesnt scare them as much .

If the rain muddies up the water, I'll beat the banks with a chatterbait or square bill. I'll pitch jigs to thicker cover.

Calm water top waters for me are wake baits like a jackel Mikey or shellcracker or a floating jerkbait twitched on top. I guess that goes for open water only.

I lik a big swimbait waked ..... Or swim jig ..
