Chronarch Ch100B Part

Featured Replies

Wondering if anyone out there have info on how I can find handle for a Chronarch CH100B. Can't seem to have any luck with my searches. Or maybe what other handle can be used. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

if you're willing to spend the money a hawgtech or one from hedgehog studios would fit&look very nice.but if you're trying to do it cheap you can just order a stock handle from shimano.they don't make parts for the b series any more but a handle from the e-series curado and chronarch should fit it as well as the handle from the g-series curado&citica.most all of shimano's low profile reel handles are interchangeable. if your star drag isn't "swept" then you will need a straight handle for it to fit properly though.i have a b- series curado and ordered a curado e-series handle, handle nut& nut retainer& it fit perfectly.

That looks like the same handle as the Calais CL100A. If it is, the part# is BNT3012. It is out of stock until late May. The Antares AR is the JDM version of the CL100A and Japan Tackle could order that for you if you need it sooner.

BTW, how long is the 100B handle? The Antares AR us 70mm and I think the CL100A is the same.

I'd order a handle from an e series curado or chronarch. Pick the 50e for a shorter handle or 200 for longer. Curado if you want silver chronarch for black.

Those wont fit the reel he's referring to - see pic below.  It's either call Shimano and wait, or pay to have one sent from Japan.

Sorry Boss, I must differ. I do believe that the handle from the e series will fit. You need to get the handle, handle nut, nut retainer, and screw, as mentioned by bass raider.

Might look a bit better too, unless you are wanting to keep the reel original.Makes servicing the reel easier too.

I forgot the handle was like that on the chronarch b. since it is I believe J Francho is right.  an Antares handle might fit it though

Just a little FYI, the Chronarch 100B handle goes on the same way the Antares AR does. The OP can put any handle on his reel that he chooses but IMHO, anything but the original or a nice 4 bearing aftermarket handle would be a downgrade.

This is my AR with a ZPI Handle.

To the OP, the Part # for your handle is BNT 3207. I called Mike's Reel Repair and they have one in stock.

Want to say thanks to all of you. Maybe a custom handle isn't that bad of an idea. Reel is in excellent condition and if it wasn't for the rodents getting to the handle it would be a great deal going. How's a wind swept handle sound. Any worries with it being able to work?

Thanks again.

Also, would want someone to make it close to being like reel color. Would above makers be able to do this?

Check out Hedgehog Studios for what might fit.

I don't think the crankshaft is long enough to accept the thickness of the handle and it may interfere with the drag star as well.

I have actually done this on a customers reel where I was unable to find a replacement handle.

The CH100B has a handle nut plate under the handle. This is removed, and the donor handle then fits on the crankshaft.

I agree with others that the ideal is to find an original, or as close to an original handle, but where this is not possible, then the replacement with a conventional Shimano handle is possible.
