Worm Recommendation For Stand-Up Jig

Featured Replies

Looking for recommendations on what worms people are using on their stand-up jig heads?  And do you prefer worms where the tail floats up, or the heavily salted worms that are more horizontal but "undulate?"

In the past I have used the Havoc Bottom Hopper worms - 4.75 and 6.25 inch that really float up nicely.  However, they are not as salty or flavored as some other brands (I know from biting a few tips off :)

Anyway, I like the Bottom Hoppers, but did an inventory of my plastics and am getting low on worms.  If I'm going to re-order, or try something different - now's the time to ask for input.  Thanks,  -Fry

Does the tail float up?

Good ol' zoom trick worm.  I think the roboworms float too, but I usually use them for drop shotting.

I have been having some fun with the Zoom Magnum Shakey Worm.  I also like the Big Bite Baits Squirrel Tail Worms.

I think a worm is a worm and still use Jelly Worms on almost everything.

Zoom Trick Worm

Hags tornado..tail stands up and has great action...great shaky head worm too.

kicker bait fish company uses little pockets of air in the worms to help them stand upright. They are pretty rad.  They are also made with jjs magic. Its absolutely how crazy it stinks. I would suggest trying them. They are pretty rad

Hags Tornado and Kickerfish are great floaters on shaky heads.

My favorite is Jeff Kreits Squirrel Tail worm. Tail floats high and I've caught fish with them when nothing else works. He also has a special shaky head for the Squirrel Tail.

Zoom trick worm watermelon seed or green pumpkin seems to work best for me
