I have some questions regarding spawning fish. What are you favorite baits to throw and in what water clarity. GO

I am going to try flipping tubes this year. I've also had minor success with wacky sticks like BBB cane stick in very clear water spawning conditions. 

I just got back from fishing one of my local lakes and was using a Keitech 4.8 in Silver Flash rigged weightless with a 4/0 Gammy Superline Hook and caught 21 bed fish. I caught around 9 females and the rest males. Smallest fish was 1.5 pounds biggest was 4.5. I must say this is may be my new bed bait

You did not let us know where you live, so in the south I would use lizards, craws, and a jig.

i have been struggling lately. the fish are all over me in the lake, but can't seem to catch them. the only time i caught them was when it was getting dark with a water melon senko. i heard that invisible line is super important. is it true?

I started a summer job two weeks ago, was busy all week, came to the ponds and found a bunch of post-spawn fish. My buddy at a pond I fish told me he caught 14 bass there over 3 pounds bed fishing. I totally missed something I was looking to since last year. . So unfortunately, I can't help you.

OH AND REMEMBER BASS ON NESTS DONT TYPICALLY EAT, USUALLY THEY BITE TO PROTECT THE NEST ,SOMETIMES IT WILL TAKE MULTIPLE CASTS AND BE SURE THEY DONT SEE YOU .

 DON"T LET THEM SEE YOU!!  you can't stress that enough.  put away your boat and walk the bank that's where they are!!    

 that's what I do.  wear matching foliage clothing and be real sneaky. make sure you are throwing something different every time to the same fish.

 I have a lot of luck with weightless flukes on a light spinning rod with 6lb flouro twitching it back and forth over the nest it really ticks them off.  also Gary Y creatures slow crawling towards it.

 

  Please be gentle with these bass they are stressed out enough without our selfish acts of self indulgence. ha ha 

Try a Drop shot senko it's proved successful for me this year.

I rarely see fish on their beds .This time of year , though ,I run  the gamut with shallow baits . Hopefully one of them works .
