Nba Finals

I hate the fact that to get back in the game GS did the whole hack a poor shooter away from the ball.  Sure it is a legal strategy, unless it is within 2 minutes to play, but it is crappy.  If you can't do it with 2:00 to go then why can you do it before, makes no sense to me.

Give me a break, the dude played his guts out and took a team to the finals that has no business being there.  That team is severely overmatched but they made it a close game and could have won.  And

  • That would be "Deli", Dwight.   Mike & Mike inside joke...

i still think Deli looks like he belongs on a lucky charms box or in a church league basketball game, not the NBA finals but i think GS would say otherwise lol

I first saw it employed against Shaquille O'Neal

In 2000, Pacers Reggie Miller & others used the tactic as well.. Seems contradictory to the flagrant fouls to me.. I don't like the rule either..

I am not sure what is more sad, that teams use this as a "strategy" or that guys can't hit more than 50% of their free throws.  I played some basketball in college and i am pretty confident that i could hit 50% of my FT with my non-dominant hand

they actually did it against wilt back in the day as well

i look at like a game of chess

you do what you have to do to win the game

think about it this way

with the rules of the late 80s would any of these teams still be standing against the pistons

Jordan has said the only reason that he became the winner that he was, was because Detroit

he said it made him hit the gym and work harder

I was considering going to game 5.  With tickets costing $4000 each for decent seats, I think I'll pass.

The 80's.. Best decade of NBA ever! & no, not a team around now could hold a candle to Detroit, LA lakers, Boston Celtics, the 90's showed great play too.. Bulls, With Utah, Phoenix.. Ok, just the bulls, lol the NBA has been weak for years, IMO

i do think that the late 70's to the mid to late 80's was a great time for basketball.  Those teams were tough, they stayed together because FA wasn't like it is now and there were true rivalries.  The 90's had some decent teams but the league was watered down by expansion and FA.  I think the league knew it was going in a downward spiral with all the all-time greats about to retire, so they did all they could to make the game exciting again.

Tonight is going to be a huge game though and I think that if Cleveland can pull out another win, the confidence of GS will be severely damaged.

That is nuts but i guess when a team is not good for a long time and finally has a good shot at wining it all, it drives prices through the roof.  I would be curious to see what they actually sell for though as the time gets closer.

Well Curry has not earned his MVP yet. He is playing like he is in a fog.

He might be, his shooting percentage has dropped considerably since he landed on his head.

Either that or Delly is is on his head.

Cleveland is looking like they want this more

than GS right now. GS seems like they don't

know what hit them.

I don't know whats wrong with the Splash Brothers recently

Delly is the MVP so far excluding LBJ

Is it just me or does it seem that the refs are favoring the Cavs? I've seen about a half dozen shooting fouls in the paint that were against Cleveland that weren't called. And that foul call with 52 seconds was with out a doubt a jump ball IMO. I might be seeing things but it seems to me like the zebras want this game to go to Cle.

No more than last game seemed to favor the Warriors. It's not been the greatest display of officiating.

I think GS (Curry in particular) figured out some things in that fourth quarter. When Curry comes off the screens high and early, he can get away from Delly and get some open looks. He observed the first three quarters, but ran his butt off that last quarter. If he does that all game GS has a good chance.

.

The Cavs have got less calls in their favor than GS . The NBA came out today and admitted they missed three out of four calls in favor of GS instead of the Cavs in game three . If they called those calls correctly there would have been no overtime.

Curry & those stupid playground behind the back passes to the 3rd row.... Unbelievable!

If anything, the refs have been in favor of GS but more on the missed call end as far as on defense.  They are a jump shooting team so the refs don't get the opportunity to get the call when taking it to the rack.

If the Cavs can pull out the win in this series it will be historic.  GS is already one of the top teams as far as wins go, both regular and postseason, and if they lose, they will be the only team in NBA history to have 80+ wins and not win it all.

Cleveland is no joke but i worry that Deli and LBJ can keep up this pace for the rest of the series.  This next game is huge for them because if they can win, it will be all she wrote.

Horrible timing to get into a funk. The end of Q4 however seemed different. Will see tomorrow.

really this is a do or die game for GS.  If they lose, they are done.

Also, I am not sure about Curry.  He seems like he has a bit of a bad attitude out there.  I mean after he made that horrible behind the back pass, he looked around like it was someone else's fault...his entire demeanor has changed but to be fair, i only watched him a few times this season prior to the playoffs.  Guess we will see what happens, but either way he is a great player.
