I managed to talk myself out of using the Ned Rig for a month or two. I kept seeing good reviews on here, but along with supply constraints, I finally saw that my local shop had both the TRD's and Shroomz in stock (although he had to do an order a week so far). I bought 10th and 15th OZ heads and an assortment of colors of the TRD.

 

Took it out fishing with my cousin. 

 

Those things catch fish. I don't know how, or why they're attractive, but man it kills em' - especially the baby bass color.

 

It does however catch a lot of small fish too, so it's a lot of wading through the smalls to find the bigs, but man it's fun.

 

So yea, I'm a believer now. Getchyer self some and try it out. 

The first step is admitting it works. Don't fight it. Feel the flow...circular...you pay your quarter and you go round and round...harness the good, block out the bad...all good things

How bout I eat some hay. I can lay by the bay and make things out of clay. I just may. What do you say?

It took a fellow fisherman catching an 18" and a 19" smallmouth right in front of me to get me to tie on one of the TRD's he had handed me first thing in the morning. Then I caught a 19" smallie.

 

I have tried it out in a couple of other situations. Pressured water, largemouth in extremely clear water and it has produced fish. I do not always carry them with me but they can help you figure out where the bass are on a given day.

Guys talk bad about it or are uncertain, then I take them fishing and by the end of the day it's like

I mentioned before that on my waters the anglers have been doing this for years, mostly in the river for smallmouths. I remember the first time my buddy showed me how he was going to slay them and I laughed because he had on a Case Magic Stick (another Senko variant)  that was cut in half rigged on a 1/16oz ball jig. what I didn't know was that he was with a guide a week earlier while I was at work and he learned it from the guide because there was a tough bite, it was hot and humid with low crystal clear water and you had to finesse them and the conditions were still the same when we hit the water. I got my clock cleaned that day and it didn't take me long to start doing that but now I use a 3/32oz or 1/8oz mushroom head with a 3" Senko and it is just flat out amazing at how that catches fish but I suppose we will never know exactly what they see in that bait.

Looks like I'll have to try it  minus the spinning gear .
