Cabelas Tourney Trail Rods

Featured Replies

anyone use these? theyre on sale for 40 bucks. i cant seem to find a good 6-6'3 casting rod anywhere so im thinkin about grabbing the 6footer to use for topwaters. just wondering if anyones used them and had any issues with them

It would be fine for topwater. I own two spinning tourney trails. I love them. My two biggest fish ive ever caught were on these rods. The medium is perfect for plastics

Yea this is the rod I bought and never got to use it because I slammed it in the car door. It seemed strong though.

They got returned by the truckload when I worked at Cabela's because they were broken. No idea if that was due to user error or just bad rods though. I tend to think it was user error due but I've never fished one myself.

I have a 7' MH. It's a good rod at the price. I've caught several bass on it, the largest being between six and seven lbs., and it held up fine.

Cabelas has all their in house rods on sale including a 6'2" Prodigy for $60. Or for a little more Abu Vendettas have a 6'3" rod, my local wally world did have the old Vendetta in a clearance bin so check there first.

I have a tourney trail 7ft medium. Had to replace the guide on the tip because the rubber insert fell out. But I enjoy using it. It's not my favorite rod but for $40, it's a good deal.

I use a 7' ML spinning rod for dropshotting. I bought it in the combo with a Pflueger President for like $60. Good rod.
