Hi,

 

I have only been out a couple of times so far this season but caught about 30 largies(catch n release) some were not even a pound some 1-3 pounders and a few 4-5+ pounders,these were all caught in very shallow water(under 60 degrees) in a small inlet where boats are docked boat sheds old docks some growing grass logs etc are common

 

A number of them were caught using the electric motor and just flipping a texas rigged havoc fat craw blue flake,about 5 of the smaller ones were caught on a storm gobi swimbait,but even from shore flipping the sheds,docks etc with the fat craw had the best results,had to adjust my retrieve to downright snail pace as they were not as active as when the water gets and stays above 65 but all in all a good day

 

Was just wondering if anyone else has had similar results on any craw type plastic,I have used these before and with decent results but never this type

 

will flip and pitch the same next time I go out just to see but by then their sure to be onto something else,

I much prefer the Pit Boss over the Craw Fatty in the Havoc lineup. The Craw Fatty is too thin for my likings. 

The Craw Fatty is one of my favorites. Texas rigged or as a jig trailer, it's deadly. And affordable!

Yep, like the Poppa and JR too. The Poppa is a good bait to fish weightless and buzz across the surface like a finesse buzzbait with a big profile or fish in place of a toad.

Ya I agree,even though I have caught some on the craw fatty I catch bigger on the Pit Boss.

Same here, and the fact the craw fatty's claws are not very active on a  slow fall with lighter weights. The pit boss is subtle enough, I bought the craw fatty's assuming they would have some flapping action for dirty water use, and they have actually been a dud for me.

I haven't used the fat craw but I love the pit boss in black/blue. Pair it with 40lb gamma braid with a 7.5 flipping stick flipping and pitching around docks in the hot summer days. That's how o cought my PB.
