So I went to my local pond today, definitely a finesse pond, saw a butt load of minnows hanging around. What would I throw to mimic those? All I can think of is a really small fluke or specifically the Jackall clone frys from my local Dicks. 

 

What's a finese presentation that mimics smaller minnows?

I have some very small swimbaits and grubs that I pull out in situations like those. Also, I've found an inline spinner to be very effective. 

Grub, very simple but very effective as well. The best part is you can work them anyway you want and they will still catch fish. Slow reel it, hop it off the bottom, crawl it on the bottom or buzz it on top, whatever the fish are feeding on you can mimic it with the right size grub.

You could use a small jerk-bait designed for crappie.

Basstrix Flash Trix minnow, drop shot nose hooked on Owner #4 weedless wacky hook if you are fishing in weeds or mosquito hook for more open water.

Use a spinning outfit with 6# FC line, 1/8 oz drop shot weight.
