Grew up fishing in the pond we had in the front yard with summer trips to walleye fish in lake Erie. Looking to get back into fishing a bit. I've got a lower end Avocet spinning set that actually works pretty well. I also just picked http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Tourney-Special-Rod-and-Reel-Baitcast-Combo/product/1412040301398/ up at Bpro. Went out yesterday and caught one small LM but the water was really murky and think I was reeling to fast. Anywho, just wanted to introduce myself.

    Mitchell's Avocet is a great reel for the price.  I've had my S500UL for years and it's still going strong.
