Does it bother anyone when the plastic scrounger starts fading into a yellow/orangish color?  For some reason, I like mine to be clear.  Does it make a difference or are there brands that don't fade like this?  

What brand do you have where the collar is turning yellow and how are you storing these?

happened to me too, Luck e Strike Scrounger, stored in a 3700 indoors 

Same has happened to me, I can't remember the brand but they were bought from bps in February aND they are now yellow. I store them in a 3700 with my terminal tackle, if I'm not fishing my boxes are in the house.

Has made zero difference in any application that I've used them.

 

Just remember - bass Hammer this thing  ~ so a slightly faded scrounger blade probably isn't that big a deal.

Both Aaron Martens and Luck E Strike had a problem with collars yellowing and splitting, if that happens return them.

I have original Scroungers that date back into the 70's with clear collars, they shouldn't turn yellow.

All of mine have yellowed. Vinyl turns yellow after time when exposed to UV. Fish don't seem to care.

The elastomeric collars are usually made from a polyurethane, a very strong material, not acrylic base that tends to color shift. Vinyl shouldn't discolor, doubtful the collars are a vinyl elastomer.

What brand is turning yellow?

Color shift indicates the material is breaking down and may split.

The yellow color could also be from attractants.

It's happening to mine too. I don't think it will affect it though so I'm not worried about it.

I noticed some in stores are already yellow tinted still in the packages.  

And I recently saw some of the Xtreme at a local tackle shop but I didn't buy them cause they were already all yellow, but the ones I have at home are still clear.  The Luck-e-strikes are all yellow.  lol
