What would be your go to spinning and casting rods if you could only have one of each?

 

For me,

Casting: My 7`1`` med hvy *** black.

Spinning: My 7`2`` med Phenix M1.

                                                                                                                                           

Shimano Core 101MG and a G. Loomis 783C GLX.  Pretty much does it all.

 

St. Croix Avid 6'8" M x-fast and a Shimano Stradic.  All around soft plastic setup. 

St Croix Avid 7' M/F with a Chronarch 51e and 20lb braid.

 

St Croix Premier 6'6'' L/F with a Symetre 1000 and 4lb braid.

6' 9" M-XF ET Smallmouth with 2500 MgFB and 8# mono or Cielo 6' 6" WJS with Advantage 2000A currently 30 braid

 

Casting much tougher

 

7' MHF RX7 Rainshadow with Zillion 50th Anniversary and 12# Elite or Endurance 7' 2" MH-XF with Curado 201E7 and 12# Siege or Tatula 7' 2' MHR with Primmus and 12# AN40 or.............................or...........................or......................or........................or............................or...................... 

 

BPS Carbonlite 6'6" ML + Chronarch 50e

 

BPS Carbonlite 6'6" M + Stradic 1000 FI

Only 7' 3" Vendetta rods shown on the Abu website are a MH-XF and a H-Mod. Fast.  It better be your favorite rod since it is your only rod.  Otherwise you won't be a happy fisherman.

I'm wanting to get another, because I want a better all around rod, but for now its fine. I like it, but I'd definitely want a better one.

i'll keep my st croix MXF rage with a shimano stradic CI4 and Ducket micro magic MHF paired up with my citica

Those 2 rods can handle about everything except big jigs, hollow frogs, and deep cranks.

Better be a nrx or higher end rod lol if I'm only going to be fishing two rods

Never fished a Rage, but at the current sales price, I think it would be a no brainer if you could come up with the funds before they are sold out.  Otherwise on down the road I think the Fenwick HMG and *** Black would be a couple low cost options at their regular prices that should be a nice improvement over your current rod.

If I had to pick one of each out of the arsenal...

Spinning: 7'1" MLXF *** Black w/ Pflueger Supreme XT.

Casting: 7'3" HXF *** Black w/ BB1 Pro (blows me away how versatile this combo really is)

But let's be honest I could never go out on the boat without my NRX 852c & Ito Ai. I'd leave the spinner combo home waaaaay before I'd leave this bad Larry behind.

New kid on the block is getting a lot of time on the water; I keep reaching for the 7'2" H Zodias. Shimano got this one right.
