Today was the worst day ever

And don’t try to convince me that

There’s something good in every day

Because, when you take a closer look,

This world is a pretty evil place.

Even if some goodness does shine through once in a while

Satisfaction and Happiness do not last.

And it’s not true that

It’s all in the mind and heart

Because

True happiness can be obtained

Only if one’s surroundings are good

It’s not true that good exists

I’m sure you can agree that

The reality

Creates

My attitude

It’s all beyond my control

And you’ll never in a million years hear me say that

Today was a good day.

Now read it from the bottom to the top.

Well done A-Jay! When read correctly (from bottom up) it reminds us that attitude is the key. Your attitude inspires me. Thanks man.

Edit: After reading it again, it reminds that attitude is key whether read from the top or the bottom!

Nice one AJ!

Very nice.....I've learned this much more and am more thankful since the loss of our daughter to cancer.  Helps me to be more grateful and also understand better what others have gone or are going through.  Today is a gift and a chance for many things.

Being a negative Nellie makes for an unhappy life all the time; however, history is proof that a naively positive attitude is not key either. People and children have been murdered and raped, countries and people have destroyed each other over differences in religion and creed, native peoples and races have been subjugated, etc.  Good attitudes don't make these things positive.  To me, a realistic attitude with the discipline to keep trudging on even when things are bleak is what makes for a happy life.  Happiness is acceptance of the bad things, while making sure to keep an eye out for everything that is good.  Trying to turn every bad thing into a positive minimizes the pain that this life has dished out to some groups of people.

Having said that, A-Jay's post is still really cool.
