Diawa Lexa 100 On Sale

Featured Replies

So I just saw on TW they have the lexas on sale for $60! They only have 3 models though. One model is right in 4.3 or something and then two ad left hand in 6.4 and that 4.3 I think it is. They are not the most high end reel but for $60 it's hard to beat if you needed a plenty good enough reel at s great price. It's over $50 too shipping is free.

Great reel for the price but the magnetic braking is meh and they perform best with heavy baits.

I've got one in the 7.1:1 and another in the 4.9:1. No complaints on either one. They can pull bass out of the pads very easily and they can throw 5/16 oz scatter raps just as well. I figure they're a steal for $60.

Yea, that reel is ALWAYS on sale at TW

Ya but not for $60. At that price it can't be beat. Someone looking to get into casting reels and looking for a first reel then that is the deal.

I bought one of the 4.9:1 for my deep cranking rod. Only Daiwa I own but so far so good.

I bought 2 both lefty and both 6.2:1. So far so good except the sudden stop in mid cast whipping my lure back at me. I read on here it was to do with the reverse pawl, took mine apart, found nothing wrong, cleaned it and put it back togetger... still freezes mid cast

I have a couple, and for the sale price they are great...full price... Mehhhhh nothing to get excited about, and, personally, I wouldn't pay msrp for one. The Exceler or Cabelas prodigy are pretty much the same reel, and start off cheaper. I will say this about that platform, I like it better than the Citica and Curado G's, but not as much as the E's

Ya I agree totally about msrp. There is now way I would ever pay the $119 I think they are. You can get tatulas for less. At their actual price there and much much better reels available. But for $60 it's pretty hard to beat I think.

I have two new ones sitting in the closet. Was hoping to find some good clearance rods to put them on but those rods didnt materialize this year .

Not the best casting reel and the cast control knob always moves. I guess it's the way I palm the reel

Academy WAS selling the daiwa lexa rods for real cheap maybe... 2 months ago. I think it was like 60 bucks shipped.

That reel has been on sale all year long about everywhere I've looked. GM, d1cks, tw, cabelas, etc. Wonder if they are discontinuing it?
