Hello From Western Md!

Featured Replies

Hey Everyone, I figured it was time I posted, as I have had an account for a couple months, and I've been lurking for a couple years.

My name is Jonathan, I'm from the western most part of Maryland. I'm 23, and I've been bass fishing literally my entire life. Not as long as some people here, but my dad and grandfather started me early. My dad and I fish together most of the time, if not I'm by myself. Our first day of the season this year was April 1st, when ice was still in the shallow coves/creeks, and since then we've made about 90 trips to the lake. So needless to say, we've been fishing pretty hard this year haha. We fish from a bass boat, so thankfully the gas prices have lowered, allowing us to fish so much! My home lake is called Deep Creek, and it has the nick name of "The Reluctant Dragon". When the bite is on, it's on. But when the bite has slowed, the lake can be mighty cruel to most anglers. You either catch no fish, or you catch only pickerel or other toothy critters.

Other than fishing, I am a student majoring in history. I hope to be a teacher some day, preferably a university professor. I'm also a diehard baseball fan, and lifelong fan of the Yankees. My grandfather was a hardcore fan, so it rubbed off on me. Baseball fan first, Yankee fan second.

I look forward to reading all the great information posted here, I've had definitely learned a lot from Bass Resource over the years, and I hope it continues!
