After all my rants about not liking senko type baits, I caught my first on them today. Out of seven bass, four came on the senkos. The biggest one on one. 17 1/2", one 16", and two 14". I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks....lol.

Congrats Hootie ~

You've finally mastered the one bait that excels when the angler does Nothing with it.

Congratulations.   What did you do differently to finally achieve some success?  Were you fishing 'em wacky?

Texas rigged, cast, let it sit for a few seconds, then just short hops. That's the way I was fishing it every time I tried it before. I think what fired me up was catching that 17 1/2" bass on the second cast. Oh,and I was using a 1/4 oz worm weight.

I use a wacky rig quite a lot. Mostly use Zoom centipedes, or Zoom trick worms.

Cool.  Nothing like catching a couple of decent fish on a bait to build a little confidence in it.

Personally, when I think "Senko," I usually think "wacky."   I just bought some of the jumbo-sized Senkos to try T-rigging with....

Dead sticking is a technique best used while playing a video game on your phone, or setting up your go pro.

I was in the same boat as you. Didn't really work for me, but kept on tryng. It's pretty fun once you get the rythm going and having good accuracy helps too.I know a lot of people think it's boring, but I like it. It's fun. Wacky rigged senko that is.

Good ol Senko's.......ugh.  Have caught tons of smallies on a three incher drop shotted over the years and many on a round head 1/8 head over the years....but it takes a rare day to dead stick a Senko let alone whacky rig it.   BUT....good job to ya......tight lines
