Daimon Lures--Non Responsive

Featured Replies

I'm a Newbie to this forum.  I have been a reader for a couple of years, but just joined this week.  I'm sorry that my first post is on the negative side. but I've seen such good advice is the past that I thought I might get some good suggestions from the membership.  He's my problem:  I ordered about $70.00+ of finesse jig heads and lures from Daimon Lures on 28 March.  I haven't received my order yet even though I have communicated with Bryon Daimon 4X's via e-mail about my order.  Each communication he apologizes for the late delivery and promises to have my order in the mail in the week.  My latest communication was last week and I still have no order in the mail!  What do you suggest I do at this point?  Obviously, I will never order from them again! >:)

If you paid by credit card, contact the card company. If you used Paypal you can contact them.

If you paid with a money order or by check, there is nothing you can do but stay on top of the company.

BTW,

Welcome aboard!

I paid by Pay Pal.  I told Bryon two weeks ago I was going to start the Pay Pal grievance process if I didn't get a response from him.  At that time, he did respond and said he would have them in the mail by last week. Still no response.  What's the process with Pay Pal to cancel an order?  If I had paid via credit card I would have no problem as I know the process, but I'm not that familiar with Pay Pal.

Welcome to the forum, SeniorBasser,

I find it very interesting that you should mention "Daimon" lures.

A couple months back I stumbled onto a jig that I thought would be perfect for pickerel fishing with a jig & dead minnow.

It was a "Daimon" Pro Series Jig and satisfied every feature I wanted: 1/8 oz - 4/0 Mustad Megabite, Fiber Weedguard, Skirtless,

Flame Red - Bulletnose. Anyway, I ordered a bunch from a given vendor, but when I received their shipment,

I got everything I ordered except the Daimon Lures and there was no Backorder Memo :-? I called the vendor

and the fellow there acknowledged the shortfall and belatedly sent me the Daimon jigs I ordered. After reading your post,

I went to the website where I found the jig and noticed that they no longer carry Daimon jigs, mine were probably the last ones.

Veeeeery Interesting!

Daimon was probably disenfranchised by this vendor for the same reason that's causing you grief.

I have no alternative source for that jig, so I hate to see them go, but I realize that your problem is worse than mine.

Though I've used Paypal with E-bay, I've never had a dispute, but this is what I've found...I hope it helps:

1. Log into Paypal: https://www.paypal.com/

2. Select "Resolution Center" tab.

3. Click "Open Dispute"

4. Select the PayPal transaction ID in dispute.

5. Review the transaction data and select the appropriate reason for opening the dispute.

6. Enter the details of the transaction and initiate communication with the seller in the "Compose Message to Seller" box

click "Continue."

I believe that a dispute is elevated to a claim after 20 day, but I think the vendor has up to 45 days for resolution.

Roger, thanks for the PayPal information.  I think I will start the process in the morning.

Sounds like Daimon has a history of problems.  Guess this is one way of getting the word out so other people don't experience the same problems.  Thanks again.

To close out this saga, I got my full refund today and placed an order for my finesse jig heads with the Tackle Warehouse. :)

I too had the same problem with Bryon and Daimon Lures to the tune of $265.00. He agreed to pour my jigs for me so I sent him my molds, 3 pounds of paint and hooks. I received only half of my 2000 jig order and 80% of those were not usable product. I got stiffed on the product received and had to file a paypal dispute to get the $265 back. This was after many phone conversations with Bryon. You cannot believe what he tells you and I have been spreading the word on his business practices. I ended up paying him $335 for 200 usable football heads and 800 pieces of junk  >:)
