Fall Bite Is Picking Up!

Featured Replies

  • Super User

After a very, very (very) long summer of slooow Southern bass fishing, the bite is finally starting to pick up. I've been having a lot of fun lately just catching a lot of chunky 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pound bass with a couple of kickers. Just about all of my fish have come on a wacky rigged trick worm, Ned Rig, dropshot, and a jig.

With the exception of the last two pics, these are all different fish.

And in the dink corner, weighing in at a whopping under one pound, is my 4th and also pb smallie (can't seem to get around any bigger ones) :

These three were cookie cutter fish, all caught on a dropshot within a span of 15 minutes.

And this is my biggest this fall at 3 1/2 pounds, swimming a custom jig with a rage chunk.

Nice collection of catches.  It looks like you had them dialed in on what they wanted to hit.  Congrats.

Sounds like fun was had, for sure.

You are young but still have a good start. It's only going to get better. Keep it up.

I'm ready for this "Fall Bite". It took me two days to catch that many fish this past week.

I've caught maybe 5 bass this fall. Fall being September until Now. :C
