I am looking for recommendations for a low memory (very soft) flurocarbon line. 8 pound test for spinning and 12-14 for baitcasting.

If you're fishing deep a foot one way or the other shouldn't

make much of a difference.

Try it.. You will find this will be a lot more manageable

and without a doubt your hook set ratio will be a lot

higher.
