200e7 vs i

Featured Replies

Well I was wondering what your options were on the curado 200e7 vs the newer I. I have used the e7 but have seen very little of the i.

Both good reels. Feel like the I cast a little further right out of the box and feels a little tighter. Also fits nicer in my hands but that obviously will vary by user.

Both great reels. I would have to agree with Blue that the I feels a little smoother and "tighter" as far as the gearing. Both built like tanks. Can't go wrong with either. But for the going price I would defiantly go for the I. You can pick one up for 120-130 new, where as a slightly used 200e will push you 175-200. Just my opinion.

I agree with both of them the E's are great reels and I have a few of them. But I would have to say I like the I's better. To me they are smoother and just better built.

The E's were great but the I's are better. I would love to get another E but I can't justify paying $175-200 when I could get the newer better reel for $130.

I have 4 e and 2 I curados and you can't go wrong with either , with the edge going slightly to the I .

Y'all are looking in all the wrong places if used 200E7's are going for $175-200. They normally sell around $135 on another forum. With that being said, I do not feel either is better than the other. I like them both the same and think they are both great reels.
