You've got me by about a year. Our area is very pro-law enforcement, so I'm pretty lucky there. The last place I worked, not so much.

Must be a total different ball game when people are pro- law enforcement.

I feel bad for the newbies in my area, people hate police officers here.

Cant sneeze without getting a protest.

Made me take a total different career path. 

Pretty sad.

I agree with a lot of the folks in this thread. It just doesn't pay to be a police officer in this country in this day and time. Thugs and criminals want to get away with everything and " handcuff"  the cops from being able to perform the job that's necessary and in a lot of cases it's called lethal force. If a white cop shoots a black man he's a bigot and a criminal now even if he's in the right and upholding the law. . It's a sad state of affairs indeed. If my example is too pointed then I still won't apologize because the truth is what it is, nothing more, nothing less.
