Thoughts on Hi Vis braided line

Featured Replies

I like using yellow braid and it is on the majority of my reels. It really helps me see what my line is doing while fishing plastics and jigs. I've been teaching my girlfriend to fish and it has helped her quite a bit. To me it is definitely worth it, especially on really thin line like 10 lb braid.

I like the hi vis braids because it's easier for me to line watch.

All I use is Hi-Vis braid on all of my reels. I do, however, use a fluorocarbon, or mono leader, depending on which presentation I'm using. These old eyes require the line be visible! :)

This right here! My eyes aint what they use to be, and the fish dont care :)

Picked up some yellow power pro in 15lb to put on my spinning reel. Have a club tourney on the 17th and excited to try it out!

Worth it? Yep. Easy to see when needing to line watch.

Use it on every reel I have (plus a leader).

yep, great for line watching and i don't really even worry about a leader.  if anything, take a black sharpie and color in the last few feet of line, but i usually don't bother with that.

I use it for line watching applications and so the fish can find my lure!
