New Bluegill Jig

Featured Replies

I have been playing around for awhile with a bluegill color for jigs and then left it on the back burner. When you get to all those colors it is pretty hard to get all the colors to blend into an attainable solution. You have to concentrate on what colors go first and which colors will be more dominant and overtake other colors. So finally I received all of my custom powder paints and came up with a jig head that I really like. The skirt combo came second with some pieces I had laying around. I have to give a big "Thank You" to G-Man for motivating me to finish this project. It came out better than I thought. Enjoy.

Those are sweet!!!   I really like the look.   I need to get the spinnerbaits finished up.  I'll probably put the last coat of clear on them tonight.

Glad I could help.

I missed this thread before.  Great looking jig.  Ted, you are the master of multi-color jig heads, and with a skirt to match.

Fuzzy Grub is dead on........Cadman's jig heads could catch  fish with nothing on them.  I just might start using them for catfishing......How do think they would look with a big chunk of liver hangin off the hook.

Bone-Head

The jig in the picture is 3/8 oz. I think a good size catfish would bend that hook in half. Probably a much bigger jighead with a bigger hook would be the ticket. A hunk of liver huh? ;D ;D That would be interesting to see a picture of, a piece of liver on a bass jig. What would be even funnier is you catch some bass. Then go to the launch and show everyone the jig with the liver on it and tell them you got all your bass on this new set-up you invented. I would like to see the expression on their faces.
