For specialty colors and blades I fish Revenge. For my normal white, chart, and black I buy the cheapest ones I can find. The ones just hanging on the rack with no packaging at Sportman's Warehouse are the bulk of what I have. I actually prefer the action of the cheaper ones with light wire. They roll side to side a little even when tuned which creates a more erratic retrieve. 

With way I mod mine buying a bunch of expensive ones wouldn't make sense.

Have to agree Scott. Spinnerbaits are about angles, cast placement, and splash control. 

If you're just tossing a spinnerbait around with no control or purpose you've got about a three week period a year on any lake to be successful. The rest of the year is technique.

My first reaction too.

What we often forget is the 'secret ingredient'  to all artificial baits is confidence.

It's amazing how truly believing in your lure and presentation will make the bass come running to you.

I find that women are the same way.

The appeal of a spinnerbaits to bass is flash & vibration!

Until you have thrown Stanley Spinnerbaits you have not experienced flash & vibration!

Keep in mind that most are T-2's. I'm not sure what the difference is but they all work for me. And I got a lifetime supply. 

War Eagle makes pretty much any spinnerbait I'll ever need. 

I have used BPS, War Eagle, Strike King, and a lot of others that I can't remember.  They all will catch bass, but the biggest difference is in how they hold up over time.

Same here I use to buy expensive sb but started catching alot of snake heads on them so I switched to the walmart $1 sb and still catch a lot of bass with them.One good size snake head will destroy the $1 sb but bass on avg  I can get about 6-8 bass on $1 sb I love them!!!

What do you do with the snakeheads? I heard they are invasive species, so do you dispatch them forthright? If you do what method do you use? Baseball bat to the back of the head, slit its throat, shotgun?

War Eagle, Terminator, and I have been so impressed with Siebert jigs that I will probably be getting some spinnerbaits from them when I lose or break a couple existing ones.

Ok, I got you, you build your own, not make you own, it sounds like it isn't much of a difference but there is. You have no control of wire choice or placement or hook choice or anything like that. I got into making my own because I was buying blades and skirt material and I still had to buy spinnerbaits so if I was buying all that stuff, why not just go right from scratch and pour my own heads and bend my own wire and get it exactly the way I want, but building them is what led to me making them, like I said before, it sounds close but in reality building and making are 2 different things.
