Spool Bearing Pin?

I having trouble putting this Pin in. Can anyone help me out?

I got replacement parts. Anyway that pin will go in?

if you tapped it out or pulled it out with a pliers, you can squeeze it in if you're careful by putting one end of the pliers on one end and the other end of the pliers just above the through hole w/o blocking it. wrap the pliers /w electrical tape for insulation. odds are you will bent, scratch or damage something continuing to do this. 

You should do yourself a favor and buy the hedgehog tool or boca pliers. It will pay for itself the second you think your clever and being cheap and damage the spool.

some of the pins are tapered and have a narrow vs. thicker end!  If yours is tapered be certain to start it with the narrow end.

Yeah, one side is thinner then the other side. What if, the thinner d ide doesn't go all the way through.

Unless you have a number of reels to service that justifies purchasing a specialized tool, I advise against removing spool minted bearings. Either clean them in place by blasting with a spray or dip them in a deep container. Or save the aggravation and send the reels out.
