I saw these in Wal-Mart so I picked up a few packs to try. How do they work?

 

I put them on a texas rig or Carolina rig.They are a good bed fishing bait also.

Killer in the spring and summer down here. I prefer the 4" for my light tackle fix in pumpkin. 

Trig, crig, split shot, drop shot, shaky head,  burned over grass etc. 

Just trash them and tell me where.

I didn't know that Zoom made that bait in any other color than Green Pumpkin.  That's the only color of Zoom lizards I've even used.  As far as I'm concerned, lizards are made for dragging on the bottom.

They're great baits! I'm not a lizard person personally but I know a lot of guys that like them. 

My buddy taught me how to fish by using them as texas rigs. Strangely you don't see many pros using them nowadays but they still work great. I bought the big 10 inch ones (forget if they were zoom or not) and they are a blast to fish with. They get hit hard and big ones like em.

I'm pretty sire the lizard is a natural enemy of bass and their eggs so I feel like they hit them out of anger lol

Zoom black lizard works very well for me.. I will throw it weightless sometimes...

texas rigged with a 3/16 oz bullet and 3/0 hook on 12 lb fluoro. shallow, deep, rocks, stumps, brush, docks, you will catch fish. i've gone thru almost 20 packs of green pumpkin since late Feb. dip the tails in chartreuse if you dare.

What chartreuse dip are you talking about?

I use to fish them a ton using a slip shot rig,dragged.

+1 for carolina rigging. Definitely my favorite way to fish lizards and my favorite c-rig lure

i use spike-it but there are others

Back in the day, T-rigged lizards were the go to bait for bedding bass.   pitching them into the shallows during the spawn would be veru productive.   Of course that was not the only time to fish them.   I have Carolina rigged them and done well but they were a classic bedding bass bait.

Zoom to me is the mac daddy for lizards, right now june bug color seems to be hot for me. It doesn't hurt to have them in the tackle box. Texas rig is my norm.  3/8 to 1 oz weight.  I also used a modified texas rig,  same set up but add a weight plug to keep the wt a few inches (3-4) off the lizard head for a little different action.

Brett's dad  What they are talking about is a solution that you can dip soft baits like worms and lizard into to change the color of the tail or legs of the soft bait. Most tackle stores have it, Wally world may have it but I wouldn't could count on it.

They  are excellent baits . Texas or Carolina rig . I fish them just like worms .

 

catch a lot of bass on those zoom lizards. You can't go wrong with them.
