Yesterday, I was fishing with a 6" finesse worm, a 6" Roboworm in fact, texas rigged with a 1/0 EWG and a 3/16th bullet weight. I had caught a bunch of fish, but then I missed like 3 fosj. I wonder if it is because the hook is too small? My hooksets weren't really hard, though. Should I get bigger hooks, or is 1/0 EWG fine? Thanks.

Use the robo worm re barb hooks 

If I am T-rigging 6" Finesse worms, like a zoom trick worm, I am pretty much always using a 2/0 offset round bend. I only use the EWG for thicker plastics that require that extra space to collapse on a hookset.

Thanks. Do you think that hook size really matters too much when fishing thin soft plastic worms (Eg., in this case, using a #1 or 1/0 offset round bend vs a 2/0 offset round bend.)

I feel a #1 might be kind of small, unless it's like a 4.5" roboworm or something. I doubt you would see a huge improvement if you stopped using the 1/0 and started using 2/0 either, it's just what I use and am confident setting the hook with, either one should be fine. I probably wouldn't go smaller than 1/0 though for 6"  worms. But if you have these size hooks lying around just try them out, see what works. If you notice an improvement with a certain size then stick with it. 

I use 3/0 ewg hooks for a minimum size in my texas rigging.

I don't think a 1/0 EWG is a good choice for much of anything. I believe hook style on this small of bait would benefit from a offset round bend. Even a small  1/0 offset round bend would work much better with this style of bait. I would suggest a 3/0 offset round bend.

A 1/0 EWG is good for 4" senkos and flukes, and also ring worms in that size range. For regular thin worms, I prefer a normal offset hook.

2/0 straight shank round bend.

EWG do not have larger gaps they just have a wider bend that work well with fatter baits andd tubes . In my opinion the top hook is better for six inch worms than a EWG .

 

I use 1/0 EWG light-wire hooks for rigging  baits weedless (Texas-style) when drop-shot fishing. I use the light-wire hooks because I fish drop-shots on a medium-light rod.
