Get you an "O" ring and slide it about half way up your worm. Take your hook and slide it in between your worm and the "O" ring. Pick you out that secrect spot where that big one is waiting and cast your worm over to it. Let your worm sink . Don't work it or anything, just let it sink. Once it hits the bottom, You can raise you pole up and bring it off the bottom and let it sink again or bring it all the way in and cast it out to another spot. Pay attention to your line. It may take off to the left or right. I hope that helps. I could prob. show you better than I could tell you. Good luck.

Do you have to use the circle hook when you wacky rig it?

It helps with gut hooking but it's not a must.  I use octopus hooks. (I like setting the hook :) )

I fish the wave worm ,a little less expensive and works just as good.I rig it waky but a little off center,I find this give a little more of a different look and works well.I do not use an o ring just my personal preference.Watch your line closely you wont always feel the strike.I also fish this style in any structure and have great success,Bob

I generally fish a senko texas rigged. Let it drop to the bottom and sit in the honey hole for a short bit, if you don't get the strike, give it 2 sharp twitches to make it dance a little. Guarantee you'll get attention!

I recently bought some weedless hooks for wacky rigging. It helps a lot when you need to fish the weeds.

I am totally not being sarcastic here.  The best way to fish them is in the water.  Period.  They catch fish.  Off the top of my head I cant remember a way that I've presented a senko and not caught a fish.

Alot of times I'll just use the same hook for wacky and texas depending on bait size because that way I can switch back and forth if I want. Usually to do this I use a 2/0 or 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG.

I use less worms using the o ring myself. I ran out last weekend and didn't use them and went thru about 4 worms. I usually only use 1 a day other wise.

can and how do i fish it in weedy weedy areas

I fish mine in anything with a gammy 2/0 octopus hook. Just work it slow and snags shouldn't be a problem.

Good Luck---------- I have enjoyed wacky roig senko more than anything in a long time... awesome bait!

There is no reason for o-rings or skin hooking senkos. The best hooks that I have found are the cheap 5/0 Mister-Twister Keeper hooks. They have the perfect bend for hooking fish on Senkos T-rigged.

The problem I had with them was keeping the barb in the top of the Senko because after 20 casts or so it wouldn't hold any more.

But thanks to member Timistall for coming up with a cure. I now have the best Senko hooks that I've found out of trying every brand.

Here is the cure he came up with. You just cut the straight barb off with a pair of wire snips and replace it with a Hitchhiker made by the same company to attach grubs as trailers to hooks.

No more top coming off of barbs and no more of the top of the Senko sliding down other hooks. I have yet to move the top of a Senko even when snagged using this method.

It works :)

Cut off barbed top pin

and replace with this

People use the "O" ring when wacky rigging, not T-rigging, and even then, it's only if you are using Yamamoto because of how they are designed to tear.

I notice folks are using worm and ewg hooks for wacky rigging.  These will work but are not designed for this.  Octopus or circle hooks are for wacky rigging and worm and ewg's are for t-rigging.

i ONLY USE THE WACKY RIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was skeptical of the wacky rig, but then you threw in that 29th exclamation point and I was fully convinced. The 28 before it didn't, but the 29th was the one that did it. It made a much better argument than the previous 28!
