Do you guys notice a drop in catch rates using say 30lb hi vis yellow vs green braided line with no leader? stained to muddy water?

Im pretty confident using green in stained water but its hard for me to see the line. 

Anyone color the first few feet of yellow line with a marker and notice a difference? I might try that if only for my own confidence.

I fish both colors in murky tidal water and I fish them both in deep clear water. I do usually use a 4 foot leader on them in clear deep akes, otherwise I see no real difference.  On spinning gear I love using the Berkley Fireline, both original and fused. i  use it in their lime color, sometimes with and sometime without the leader. I use 10# P Line CXX for leares.

 I prefer to use Suffix  832 or Power Pro Spectra braid on baitcasters.

I've colored the line and carry Sharpies with me just in case. With that said, tying a leader on is more effective and The knot has never been the weak point in my gear.  

Ive been using yellow powerpro because of my old eyes:)  It has made no difference fishin, other than i can see it.

I don't like yellow because it fades faster it seems to me. I doubt it will make a difference in catch ratio in dirty water though. 

Yellow for me on my spinning rod. I tried green again the other day and couldn't see it to save my backside. I always use a leader of some sort. 

I've ran it all types of ways. I typically run a leader for a little piece of mind. I have noticed days that going from straight braid to a leader can make a difference in bite number.Other days they just hit everything you throw.

from one braid color to the next, no difference at all.  i have yellow power pro on 3 or 4 of my outfits.  especially in a stained water scenario, no difference.  if i'm fishing a really clear lake i'll go with a leader, but most of the lakes i fish have a little stain to them so i rarely use the leader.  if a single bite is lost from green to yellow, i think being able to see the yellow line would make that bite back up.  not long ago i threw a senko out, had a nice overrun, picked it out and looked up to see my yellow line moving down the weedline!  never felt the first tap with all the slack line i had out.  had it been green i may or may not have seen it so easily!

Let me throw something else in the mix. I find the red or vermillion work good too. It disappeares under murky water and is easy to see. Cajun line was on to something with its red line, to bad it has memory like an elephant.

Bass are interesting animals which sometimes are unpredictable, even for experienced bass fishermen. 

I have caught them in ultra clear water with heavy green braid with no leader and other times I couldn't get a bite unless I used light monofilament line (in the same body of water).Only experience will truly teach you what line works best in your body of water. 

I'm on the "color matters" side of the argument. I like using hi-vis yellow and white braids so I can clearly see what my slack line is doing, however I will color the last 6 feet or so with a brown or green sharpie.
