I've been doing very well lately at my local pond on lipless cranks, specifically the 1/4oz Strike King RES. Bought a pack of Rage Tail Swimmers from the tackle shop a week or so ago to try to change it up because the fish are seeing tons of crankbait right now. I have it rigged on a 3/16oz belly weighted swimbait twist lock hook. Also have some in 1/4oz to try. Just wondering how you guys like to set these up and what techniques are best to try. I'm throwing both the swimbait and the RES on a 7' M-F with a 6.3:1 Tatula spooled up with 30# Power Pro right now.

I agree with Kent.  This is the main reason I started carrying Moaner Strokers is to pair with the Rage Swimmers we added to our line up.  The Stroker is an excellent swim bait hook or hook for Rage Rigging.

I rig them 3 ways:

Weightless on an Owner Twistlock hook

On an Owner Beast keel weighted hook

On an Owner Ultraround jig head 

They also work great as a swim jig trailer.

For a swim jig trailer do you rig it as its designed to swim? I saw something for chatterbait trailers that you should rig it upside down to reduce the amount of tail kick so it doesn't throw off the cadence of the chatterbait. (if that makes sense)

The Stroker hooks are great, but once you get used to the Owner center pin screwlocks, nothing else satisfies.  It's easy enough to swap them in, but I wish they were offered as an upgrade.

no that doesn't make any sense rig it normally the catterbait will still do what its supposed to

yes i rig it the way it was designed to swim.It gives the jig a crankbait wobble.

I was a Trokar guy until I found Owner screw locks.
