Live Target?

Featured Replies

Has anyone used Live Target swimbaits? I'm thinking of picking up a couple and am looking for some reviews.

I have 2 that's look like schooling fish that I havnt thrown yet and a realistic looking bluegill that I picked up yesterday. I expect these are only gonna be good in clear water situations

I grabbed one of the swimbaits this weekend, have not had the opportunity to throw it yet. I like the looks of it though, and that it has a hook hanger to add a treble to if you wanted...

I like the hook out the top action on them, plus the fin acting as a weed guard. Not that I plan on throwing it in the weeds, but cheap happens.

The weed guard got in the way of my hook sets too much, I trimmed it down and I lost many less fish.

I was wondering about that when I posted earlier.

Can't say about the swim baits. Have a few shallow hard craws that are pretty decent.

They swim poorly, smell terrible, hookup ratio is terrible if you do get a fish to eat one, and the finish is actually just painted on and it flakes off very easily. Just a very disappointing bait all around for me.

Which one were you using?

I've yet to find a Live Target bait that is worth what they charge.  Very disappointing in quality, action, and durability.  I had a bunch of their craws implode in my tackle storage.  Thankfully, BPS offered a full refund for the 50 or so I bought.
