There are times....Day two.....

My brother and myself went to the swamp to fish on day two of my trip. This Is a place we had never been and were pleasantly surprised at how well this place fished. Once again It was chilly for this time of year and there was a stiff breeze. The first thing we noticed was we invaded the space of the resident waterfowl. They were not happy. lol

The first thing I noticed after we launched was the vegetation was quite healthy for this time of year and the incredible amount of cover. It looked fishy everywhere. It took just a couple of minutes to hook-up and I was surprised he was well off the edge. If we had the time to fish thoroughly we could have had an unreal day but In 5 hours you can only fish so much. We tallied 26 with the biggest 4.3, a few 3's and several 2's. It was a day that I felt we wouldn't do that well but I was wrong.

The majority were caught on Zoom magnum finesse worms, Zoom black/red flake lizard, and the old hippie caught one on a Berkley power bait. The bigger fish came on a Zoom 6" Red Shad dead ringer and a R.I. Bull Frog skinny dipper. One of the coolest things that happened ; my brother threw into a clear patch which upon inspection was a bed. As the bait hit the water he spooked a fish we didn't even see. He came off the bed onto a weed edge and as he let It fall into deeper water that fish shot out from underneath the weedbed and smoke his bait. We watched the entire thing and It was awesome! I can safely say we will go back!

Nice fish man sounds like a good day. Also nice pink blanket.

LOL.... It's "red" and my legs were sun and wind burned beyond belief. I was waiting on someone to comment on that. :)
