I live in North Central Indiana and I'm looking to take a 4 or 5 day "long" weekend to go fishing.   Have bass boat will travel.  Where would you recommend?   Looking for lodging and launching recommendations.

How far are you wanting to drive? 

Kentucky Lake. Headed there myself on Wednesday. Water is rising bass are moving shallow and catching them out of the flooded yellow flowers is lots of fun. Not many lakes you can catch trophy largemouth, smallmouth, and spots.

We stay at ky beach resort in blood river area, nothing fancy but they have a nice protected bay and docks with electrical hook ups.

Pickwick is an easy drive for you. The state park, with marina, is a fine place to stay.

That's about a 6 hour drive for me.  Looks perfect!

I would love to fish that lake at some point but that's about a 13 hour drive.   A little much for this trip.

How do they handle the fishing licenses on that lake?   Noticed the state line runs right down the middle of the lake for part of it.

Adding this to the list.   Looks nice.

I'd be headed to Kentucky or Pickwick. Never fished either and always wanted to.
