Stik-o Worms

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm new to fishing.  Am trying out these Stick-O worms I got at Bass Pro Shop.  Seen a few you tube videos on how to rig.  The Texas Style seems to look realistic but I fail to see how the hook is going to snag the fish if it's buried in the plastic worm.  Will someone please enlighten me?

Its soft, thin plastic. A medium or medium-heavy fast action rod with a strong hookset will tear through the plastic.

The only time it has failed for me is when I set the hook into a really tiny bass (6-8 inches).

Welcome to Bass Resource Colonel!!  Here is a link to a Bass Resource video that explains how to Texas-rig a soft plastic bait (like a BPS Stik-O).

Welcome to Bass Resource. Enjoy reading & contributing in the forums.  Don't worry - Texas rigged worms work.  Gazillions of fish can attest to that fact.

Welcome aboard!

It'll work Texas rigged, even better wacky rigged :)

It will tear through when you set the hook. I use the T-stops to peg the weight, the advantage is that it completely covers the hook point and makes it much harder to snag.  You can throw it into very heavy cover without snagging.    LOL, even when I cast into a tree or across a dock I can usually get my worm back.

Here's how to Texas rig, followed by a video on how to prevent your lures from getting all tore up.  Enjoy!
