Stick with the sniper in 12# only drawback is topwater

I may end up just doing that. Like I said, I'll be tossing the occasional top water so if and when I do I'll plan ahead and bring another setup. Or another reel like @CroakHunter suggested.

I have, but I only fish city park lakes which get quite a bit of pressure and I feel that straight braid would be a deterrent to the bass.

I'm a bank fisherman and use straight braid.  I catch fish;)

Another vote for Big Game or Defier as an all-around line. Ignore the song of the (braid) Sirens

Really liking the new Rippin' Mono.  I've been testing 12#.  For all purpose, you might want to step up to 15# for all purpose, depending on your cover.

Stren for the win! 12lb would be good all purpose.

I'd go with braid and a braid leader!

Stay with the Sniper FC, you like it. If you plan to use top water simply add fly line dressing to about 3' of the end of the line near the lure and the line shouldn't sink and affect the lures action.

At least everyone agrees. :)
