I got a *** *** 8:1:1 for heavy duty fishing(Frogging,Flipping,pitching). Now im not sure what rod to get and i cant go overbudget and have 200$ to spend on the rod. Any advice for an all purpose heavy duty rod that can do all three.

Check out the Dobyns Sierra 735 or the Shimano Zodias 7'2" Heavy. Both should work perfect for your needs. 

Your reel weighs about 7 oz, average for that mfr. To balance a 7'4"-7'6" rod you will need a butt counter weight so off set the heavy tip feel. You have a lot of choices within your budget. Take a look at Glenn's pitching vedio using Okuma rod.

Maybe in the old days but technology has changed. 

Yes sir. The one three 7'3" heavy will work fine. One three makes really nice rods. I have a Fate chrome and a Defy Black. For the price they are awesome rods. Light and sensitive. Don't over look the Dobyns Fury line either. The 735C is right what your looking for. I also have the 765Flip and that would work too.

Why do you see a majority of the pros using crutch tips to counter balance their pitching rods if the technology has changed? Balance is balance and the reason Dobyns adds butt weight to his rods.

I've rarely seen that from the pros. A handful at best but nowhere near the majority. Yes, they do on Dobyns rods. Not all companies do it and there are better choices out there.  Balance is fine on my F7 rod with no added weight.

The only thing I see at the end of the pros' handles are caps to make them float.  Guess they could be adding weights in there but I doubt it.

Aaand bought the "One-Three" omen2 7'3 H along with PP Spectra 50LB yellow with some Frogs,Pitching flippin tackle and baits. Thanks for the help.
