A two-fer ...almost

Wasn't planning on fishing today and was just hanging with the family in a quiet cove.  Decided to throw a suspending jerk bait over some grass, the holy *****......things just blew up.

Though I had a monster but there was no rhythm!!!!!!

Really thought I could have a state record!

Got it to the boat and 2 were on separate trebles.  I asked for the net and the gal knocked one off then the other threw the bait.

I have seen this a couple times on YouTube but never in person.  Has this happened to anyone else?

I am getting to like the mcstick!

I've lost a few doubles like that, but also managed to get a couple in the boat:

Got a double a few years ago at the small pond that my parents' camp is on. Got them on a Storm Chug Bug. I am still not sure if they both hit while the popper was on the surface, or if one grabbed it and the other got hooked while trying to steal it.

I have yet to catch doubles. I have watched a bass steal a jig out of another bass's mouth though which was pretty cool.

Fishing in the Bahamas, I caught both a mutton snapper and a jack together on a single popper.  Even the local friend I was fishing with had never seen that before.

Happened to me once. Fishing from my bass hunter ona small golf course pond.

Caught them on a manns baby 1-minus. Where about 1.5 lb each.

I had that to happen a couple weeks ago for the first time.

About like you, I knew it felt good but didn't feel right.

I weighed them, one was almost

3 lb and the other was a 1.5 lb

While fishing the Columbia a number of years ago I did it several times one summer.  Fish were schooling heavy and while using a crank bait you would hook one and if you brought it in slow and let the fish work itself out around the boat you could see another try and take it away....was cool.

I've had lots of doubles, but never a bass double on an A-rig. Had a white bass double on it at LOZ this past fall.
