Featured Replies

I've been bass fishing for 2+ years but I've only used a baitcaster for a few months then it broke it was a older bass pro shop tourney special I already have a good baitcasting rod and now im looking for the best baitcaster under $100. Looking for a reel that I can throw anything with a real workhorse that will last all my beginner moments with the baitcaster

Daiwa advantage supertuned.  Will last forever and performs.  A little fat.

Tatula CT you will like it EZ to cast

If you can find the Tatula CT for under $100, that's the one to get.

Tatula ct or fuego ct

This is under $90.  I've purchased two reels from this seller.  Top notch seller.  I bought this in left hand and I love it.  That being said, if you want the easiest beginner reel then spend $125 and get the Tatula SV:

The SV spool is the most forgiving baitcaster on the planet.  I throw weightless worms with no problem.

Easily had on eBay. Got mine for $89 and free shipping. Love the reel.

revo stx is a great reel for right at the 100  budget. I love mine

May not be the popular picks but I have mostly Pinnacles now. I have a couple Optimus Xihs, Optimus LTE, and a Producer X. I love them all, they cast long distances, have really good drags, and feel great in the hand. I just bought my last Producer X for $49.

Do yourself a favor and get a shimano casitas.

Upvote on the Tatula CT. Smooth, great casting and built solid.

Where are you getting a STX for $100?

To the OP, go with what everyone else is saying and got the Tatula or Fuego route. If you don't wanna buy off eBay than I'd look at the Bass Pro Pro Qualifier or 13 Origin.

You might think I am joking but get the Black Max. Everyone on here will agree, the black max is the most reliable and used reel for beginners. Some seasoned guys still use ole' reliable. I do. Clean it, lube it and show it some love, that black max will last you for years. At 100 buck, you can get two.

How about a review on each of the reels?  I thought I was the only guy on here using a Pinnacle.  Liked my Primmus well enough that when I had a chance to buy them at $104 I bought 2 more.  I've got to agree with your assessment.  At least in the case of the Primmus Xi HS.  Very nice looking, light, casts like a dream with excellent distance and a good drag.
