Veritas 2.0

Featured Replies

Veritas 2.0s are on sale for $65. Went to buy one, but learned about all the snapping issues, and am now reluctant. Do they really break this easily? $100 marked down to $65 is very tempting, but is it worth the buy? Considering veritas or falcon hd.

I have 2. Bought one and had a guide insert fall out(possibly my fault) and Abu sent me a replacement so I fixed the original. I've caught over a hundred bass on mine with no issues, I like mine.

Just watched a video of a guy snapping one on his hook set,, crazy!

Buy a dobyns fury for $109 excellent rod and way better quality IMO

Mine is my favorite!  And my window snapped the tip just three days ago.   $9.95 and Abu is sending me a brand new one.  $4.70, I fixed the broken one.  Great rod and company.

Really want this rod but do not have enough money

Veritas has always carried a reputation of being fragile all the way from their initial release. My entire lineup of rods were 1st gen Veritas. They snapped like crazy but Abu stood behind them and replaced everyone. Now I have sold all of them off and purchased a couple 2.0. The 2.0 seem to be more durable than the original but there still seems to be a guide insert problem with them.

Get the verritas you won't regret its great rod. Specially for 65 your getting a 100 dollar rod good quality.

Keep in mind, the Veritas lineup is probably the best selling budget higher end rod line out there ($100 price point). So of course you're going to see more people talking about breaking them, because more people own them than other rods.

They're readily available at most of the big box stores and they go on sale fairly regular. From the way I've seen rods in these big box stores handled, and what I've seen upon inspecting them myself while in said stores like a Dicks Sporting Goods, it's no surprise to me whenever I hear about folks breaking them on the first trip or two out.

Picked up 2 Veritas 2.0 rods during Abu’s clearance earlier this year ($32 each - still feel “guilty” about the robbery ?).  I keep them with me all the time (in the bed of a pickup truck), and so far so good.  I wouldn’t hesitate to buy more if Abu decided to put them on clearance again.

I bought 3 veritas when they first came out with em and they're still on my front deck.i fish year round and have had good performance from these rods.I would definitely pick up a couple more for 65.00
