Decided to join up after lurking a while. I live in central NC and generally fish for fun on smaller lakes.

Welcome to the site! What lakes do you normally fish?

Most of the time I fish a small private lake. Others I fish are Cammack and Graham Mebane. Occasionally I will go to Macintosh or randleman. I want to get to Kerr a couple times this year and learn a little about it. As a kid I spent time on Hyco, but not fishing. I hope to fish Hyco and Mayo some this year as well.

I've heard of Hyco but I'm not familiar with any of the others.  I fish in NC a couple times a year.... usually at Lookout Shoals lake near Hickory.

I'm surprised you haven't heard of Kerr. Big lake in VA and NC that has hosted many tournaments.

Yeah I know of Kerr. We call it  Buggs up here. I've never fished it though.
